Have your say on Health Provision in Croydon

Your Invitation to the Big Ideas Generator: Tuesday 11 July 6.30 to 8.30 pm

We would like to invite you to a discussion session to help us to get the best value out of the money we have to spend on the NHS in Croydon.

If we are to meet the growing demand for healthcare from our expanding population and the financial challenges we face then we will need to use our money more wisely.  We need to help people to be as healthy and independent as they can be, to secure and prioritise the best value care for them when they really need it.

We want to work with you to help us find solutions. We would like to hear your ideas on how we could do better for Croydon patients at a lower cost.

We do hope you can join us to help us make our approaches to achieving the best possible services for Croydon people truly led by the views of local people.

The forum will take place on Tuesday 11 July 2017 in the Community Space at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA, from 6.30 to 8.30 pm.

Light refreshments will be available.

Please register here

We look forward to seeing you there.

Kind regards

Update

Following a meeting with Barratts and my direct communication with LBC, it is expected that the alterations to CVR/LG junction will be done in the evenings during the school holidays. The delay has been due to TfL needing to move a traffic signal!!!! Although LBC rubber-stamped Barratts' application for condition discharge the junction works were classed as a "compliance" and were excluded from the discharge.
Plans for alterations to the Portnalls Rd entrances have been proposed and Barratts will be consulting on these with local residents. There are traffic safety issues to be considered.

Motions proposed by John Gallagher and Peter Morgan to unseat Charlie from the Chair of ECRA and install Peter, together with modifications to their Constitution were unanimously defeated at the ECRA AGM last night.

Next Monday, we are to meet the CCCG and the new providers of Urgent Care to assess the new arrangements. Generally, the feed-back has been positive but please let me know of any concerns.

We are expecting to meet with BrickbyBrick in the next few weeks to discuss proposed plans for L.G. car park.

Re-scheduled AGM. I'm awaiting confirmation that we can use the Community Centre on either the 7th or 14th September.
In the meantime please submit any articles for the Summer Newsletter ASAP.
